About the event
The Build and Race the Lake Fundraiser is a thrilling, family-friendly event hosted by The Pierce Perspective in partnership with Burton Farm Fishery. Taking place on Sunday, 24th August, this fun-filled day will bring together the community for an unforgettable experience, all in support of mental health and well-being initiatives.
Teams will test their creativity and teamwork by building their own boats onsite using sustainable materials, then race across the lake in heats to compete for exciting prizes. Alongside the competition, there will be plenty of entertainment for spectators and participants, including farm-style games, delicious food and drinks, and live music throughout the day.
The day will culminate with an evening celebration featuring a licensed bar and post-race entertainment, making it the perfect way to end a day of friendly competition and community spirit.
