First CSR Day with JLR Engineers – 6th September

On the 6th of September, we had the privilege of hosting our first CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Day with a fantastic team of engineers from Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). This was a huge step forward for The Pierce Perspective, as it marked the beginning of corporate collaborations aimed at transforming our Woodland Allotment Site in Burbage into a thriving wellbeing space.

The team from JLR arrived ready to get their hands dirty, and they did not disappoint! The day was packed with hard work, teamwork, and a shared vision for change. Some of the key tasks completed included:

• Dismantling the old greenhouse frame to clear space for new developments.

• Sorting and repurposing pallets for future garden structures.

• Clearing overgrown areas to make the space more accessible.

• Laying the groundwork for our upcoming community wellbeing projects.

The energy and enthusiasm from the JLR team were incredible. Despite the heat, everyone got stuck in, showing true dedication to the project. Their efforts didn’t just help move the project forward physically, but they also reinforced the power of community and corporate support in creating sustainable, wellbeing-focused environments.

This CSR day was just the beginning. With more days like this, we’re on track to creating a fully functional community wellbeing garden, where nature and mental health go hand in hand.

A massive thank you to the JLR engineers for their hard work and commitment. Your support is making a real impact, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for the next stage of the transformation!

Stay tuned for updates as we continue this journey – and if your company is interested in getting involved in a CSR day, get in touch!
